Today the sports world is evolving, and it is not what you think. It’s the online world it is E-sports and it begs the question are e-sports really sports? I say no, for me sports has to have a form of physical excursion if it is from football two 300 pound forces of nature running into each other at full speed or Zion Williamson rushing down the lane looking to poster and breaking the next poor basketball rim in sight or Michael Kopech who plays in the MLB throwing 101mph fastballs in high school. The physical aspect has to be there yes video games might have more mental aspects but still what are you doing to be like wow amazing feat, you are just sitting in a chair all day until your eyes get blood red from starring at a computer screen for ten hours a day and the worst injuries you could get from gaming is a wrist or hand injury granted overtime those can affect day to day life but for me it has to be some groundbreaking feat putting another person on a poster a running back trucking over a 320 pound defensive lineman, a golfer swinging a club at 206mph like Bryson Dechambeau. Not sorry it is just not enough evidence for me to consider it a sport.
