Felton Spencer

Felton Spencer a 7’0 265 pound center who is known for his dominate rebounding and physical nature. Spencer played college basketball at his hometown university and a true blue blood college basketball program the Louisville Cardinals. As a senior at Louisville spencer averaged 14.9 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.0 blocker per game. In addition spencer is also Louisville all-time career field goal percentage leader shooting at 62.8 percent. Spencer was drafted sixth overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 1990 NBA draft. Spencer was selected to the all-rookie team his first season in the league averaging 25.9 minutes per game, 7.1 points, 51.2 shooting percentage, and 7.9 rebounds per game, and ranked 7th in NBA offensive boards during his rookie season. Spencer would play two more season for the Timberwolves before being traded to the Utah Jazz in the 93-94′ season, and stayed with the Jazz for two more years before being accquired by the Orlando Magic, and played one game for the Magic before being traded to Golden State. Spencer bounced around to the Spurs and Knicks before retiring after the 01-02′ season.

I would ask this question because to some pepole commiting to your hometown college is a huge deal.

What was it like playing among stars like John Stockton, and Karl Malone?

Because those are guys are legends, and were superstars back in the day

What advice would you give to young athletes that want to go pro?

To get the advice from a athlete that has lived through that experience already

What was your mindset on the night that you were drafted?

This mindset goes through the mind of very single athlete and a lot of pepole have different opinions

Playing back in the day what would you do different if you played in todays league?

because todays league is so different from back when Spencer played.
